The purpose of Learning Garden Preschool is to provide a safe, nurturing, loving and learning environment.  We recognize that each child is an individual, developing at his or her own rate.  We offer a positive preschool environment where children are able to express themselves and learn through child directed developmental appropriate play.  Early childhood is a time of life that is different from adulthood, and even more different from later school years.  Children 3-6 years old learn from both child guided and adult guided activities.  What they are learning needs to be relevant on the day they learn it and not just because of some future learning.  Our program is also geared to the families involved.  We partner with families to offer children the best care by encouraging parent involvement and input.  Records will be kept daily on the children’s development and plans will be made for each individual child to grow.  Positive and consistent discipline is our policy.  We maintain a caring, cooperative preschool by respecting each other and using good communication.  Children need to have a positive self esteem and can learn it through good role models and by the positive interaction of teachers and staff who understand the value of kind, encouraging words.
